Tuesday, June 24th, 2008 -
MARK YOUR CALENDARS
Directors meeting: Our annual Directors meeting is scheduled for
June 24th from 09:00 am to 12:00 at the Convention Center in
Wenatchee. Please forward your agenda items for discussion to
Richard Kirton at
rkirton@co.kitsap.wa.gov.
Directors lunch: Plan to join us following the Director's meeting
for lunch, sponsored again by ADCOMM Engineering. Thank you ADCOMM.

Golf Tournament: A 9-hole golf event will take place at the
Highlander Golf Club in Wenatchee. This game will be played in the
two partner, best ball format with the first tee time at 1:30 p.m.
and foursomes teeing off every 8 to 10 minutes. There will be prizes
awarded for the longest drive, closest to pin, low gross score by
two partner teams
with other prizes to be added. Transportation yet to be determined.
This is expected to be a fun event but spaces are limited to first
come first serve, based on vendor sponsorship, for APCO/NENA
members. Be sure to consider this for your conference activities and
come get to know your fellow APCO members! RSVP to Keith Flewelling

APCO/NENA Chapter Meeting: APCO Chapter Services Committee is again
planning a fun event for our June Chapter meeting. The APCO/NENA
Chapter meeting will be at 5:30 pm, at a location yet to be
determined, and a delicious barbeque dinner will be served at 6:30.
Then join us for an evening of "Comedy in the Park" featuring
Comedian Steve Mittleman. Steve is a clean, funny, seasoned and
nationally respected comedian who has appeared numerous times on The
Tonight Show with both Carson & Leno and on Letterman. He was the
Laugh Off winner on Showtime and has been featured on HBO, ABC,
Comedy Central (a zillion times) and almost every standup TV show
out there. He was even on ESPN for
celebrity golf shows. Steve has appeared at the MGM, the Golden
Nugget and even guest-headlined for the Tropicana in Las Vegas.
The cost for the dinner and entertainment event is $30 per person.
Reservations can be made on your conference registration form. If
you are not attending the conference and plan to attend only the
chapter event, please RSVP to Deb Welsh at
debw@co.skagit.wa.us.
